Take Boatlaunch with you with our iPhone application

Our iPhone app has detailed and comprehensive information on marinas and slipways for the UK, Ireland and northern France. The listings also include telephone numbers and email addresses which you can use with a single click on your iPhone. For the marinas there are icons to show the facilities. For the slipways you get information on tidal access, charges, local facilities, PWC information, the lot. For all listing we show a location map and you can switch seamlessly into Google Maps to get detailed maps, satellite photographs and driving directions.

You can filter your results by distance from your current location or by selecting areas on the map. You can also filter to select only marinas or slipways. The application is completely self contained with all the photographs and simple location maps so you don’t need to be connected to the internet to use it. It’s like having the complete Boatlaunch database loaded on your iPhone (all 140Mb of it and it includes over 900 slipways and 350 marinas.

We will publish updates and enhancements throughout 2009 that will be available free of charge to existing users.

View list of marinas and slipways. The list shows the name, nearest town, and the distance from your current location. Sort the list by name, town or distance.	Tap the Filter button to filter the list. You can either view Marinas, Slipways, or both. Find places that are within a certain distance from your current location by selecting "Current Location" and adjusting the distance slider.	Select "Location in Map" in the Filter screen and display a map. Use your finger to turn "on" areas of the country you would like to search. This is great for when you are planning a trip an need to find a marina near your holiday spot.
Marinas display the name, address, phone number and email address. Tap the blue button to call or email the facility. Marina services are highlighted in the icons. Tap the icons to see definitions of each.	You don't need to be connected to the internet to see the location map. However, if you have got internet access you can go straight into the map application and get more detailed maps, aerial photographs and driving directions.	Marinas and Slipways include detailed descriptions of facilities, charges, and even photographs. If it's on our web site it's on our iPhone application.
